If we agree that words have power, it is only common sense to realize that the right choice of words has more power.
There is no doubt that you and everyone around you are very aware of that.
The question is: Will you take the time to work on the art of crafting a compelling narrative to gain an unfair competitive advantage?
If you do – you will see that a small shift in the narrative can create a big shift on the impact.
Here are two versions of the story to illustrate the point.
Version 1
One day, a young boy asked an old man:
“Sir, which is the best day to pray?”
The wise old man replied:
“Every single day.”
Version 2
One day, a young boy asked an old man:
“Sir, which is the best day to pray?”
The wise old man replied:
“My son, the best day to pray is the day before you die.”
The boy was astonished and replied:
“Sir, how can I know the day of my death?”
The old man answered:
“No one knows the day of his death, that’s why we need to pray everyday”
I rest my case.
