The Trial
The defense attorney was trying to corner an old man who had witnessed an accident. His job was to discredit the witness.
“How old are you Mr. Barnett?” asked the lawyer.
“I will turn eighty-six this March” said the old man.
“I see that you were thick glasses” said the lawyer
“Yes Sir” said the old man.
“So exactly, how far can you see Mr. Barnett?” asked the lawyer
The old man thought for a minute and said “Well Sir, I can see the moon. How far is that?”
“How old are you Mr. Barnett?” asked the lawyer.
“I will turn eighty-six this March” said the old man.
“I see that you were thick glasses” said the lawyer
“Yes Sir” said the old man.
“So exactly, how far can you see Mr. Barnett?” asked the lawyer
The old man thought for a minute and said “Well Sir, I can see the moon. How far is that?”
