Getting the right knowledge…

I don’t see a lot of homeless people in Silicon Valley. I see one or two of them occasionally.

Last time I saw a homeless person, he had made an interesting setup for himself. He had tied a shopping cart to his cycle and pulling it along as a moving storage bin. It seems like a great tactic to make the most of his current state. Unfortunately, it is those kinds of techniques that will not let him get out of his current condition. He is smart enough to come up with these ideas. I wish he had used the same intelligence to solve the real problem – to get out of his homeless state.

With that in context, I can see many people who are using the same kind of tactics that will let them give the convenience in their current jobs when what what they really need is the tools and knowledge to get them out of their current jobs and take them to the next jobs.

Not all knowledge is equally powerful.
